Overview
Lamson Farm is located in the beautiful town of Mont Vernon, NH. The trail network is relatively new to mountain bikes with limited distance at the present time. Some “creative riding” can easily add miles to the distance by reversing your course and adding in the “Blood Road Trail” from Mont Vernon village.
The climbing will feel long to many riders although it is relatively tame. The long downhill and twisty single track trails are reminiscent of Durango, Colorado (in my opinion). If you are looking for an enjoyable afternoon of riding, check out Lamson Farm and make sure to bring a picnic!
How To Get There
From Milford Oval, turn onto South St./Route 13 north. Continue on Route 13 North to the village of Mont Vernon. At .9 miles from the Francestown Turnpike, turn left onto Lamson Road. The road is easily missed as the street sign is covered by leaves in the summer months. Continue down Lamson road for .6 miles to parking for Lamson Farm. The Ride
Getting Around
The recommended route is to take the 4x4 road to the metal gate about .2 miles from the parking area. Follow this tractor trail along the bottom of fields. When you get to the 3rd field, the trail begins a slow left turn and climbs into the woods through a rock wall.
Follow this trail with white blazes for X.X miles to the intersection with the Yellow trail. Take the Yellow trail to the 4x4 road and turn right. At the “Y” in the road bear right and look for the white trail on you right. Take the white trail for X.X miles to the blue trail. Follow the blue trail to the red trail. Continue on the red trail to the 4x4 road. Cross the road and to the red trail and get ready for another great downhill. Once back to the 4x4 road, continue straight across to a new trail made in the open field. This trail will switchback up the hill to the red trail.
Turn right on the red trail. At the intersection of the blue trail bear right to continue on the Red trail. At the next intersection bear right to continue on the red trail (this turn is easily missed). Once again get ready for another great downhill ride! When you meet up with the tractor trail you came in on, turn right ad head back to parking area.
