Server Updates
I just finished updating some major sections of our web site with new versions of software. Here's some highlights and new features you'll find.

1) Fixed Facebook Avatar import. Now, if you log in via Facebook, you're Avatar will be updated.
2) Your status at Souhegan Cycleworks will update your Facebook status (and vise-versa).
3) Added Event's to community. Now you can publish your own events (rides, lectures, community interests, etc...)
4) You can now edit wall posts after initial posting (yeah!)
5) Improved the activity stream
6) You can now add a video to your profile (this should be interesting...)
7) Ability to tag friends in photos

If you have any ideas, let me know. I can't promise that it will get implemented but I will pass it on to the appropriate developer for consideration.

ENJOY!

GSW "Early Bird" Seacoast Century registration rate expires in two days!
July 28, 2010

From Granite Sate Wheelman...

Have you registered as yet for our 37th annual Granite State Wheelmen's "Tri-State Seacoast Century Weekend"?  If not, what are you waiting for?

The "Early Bird" rate of $35.00 for the whole weekend and all services expires this Saturday, July 31.  From August 1 to August 31, the registration rate will be $45.00 plus Active.com's service fee.  Why pay more?

Also, compared to last year, we are running 17% higher in the number of registrations as of this date.  The event headcount cut-off is 1,600 and we maxed-out before August 31 for the past two years.  Don't be locked-out or pay more!  Act before Sunday, August 1, to reserve your slot.  And remember, this is a ride, not a race.  Rules of the road are to be followed; we share the road with motorists so don't ride two or more abreast when cars approach from the rear.  That is the NH law -- and it will be enforced.

For more info and to register on-line, please visit our GSW web site:

Happy and safe cycling to all, and we hope to see you on September 25-26 for our Tri-State Seacoast Century!

Cycle Clothing Not Just for Cycling

This time of year, with the temperatures at their summertime peak, I personally turn to a familiar drawer looking for the clothing I usually use while on my 2-wheeled companion. Yup, there's nothing better on a hot summer day than wearing a light-weight, breathable cycling jersey to keep you cool and dry.
