2010 Tribe Gathering

Yeti Cycles is pleased to announce the 9th annual Yeti Tribe Gathering will take place August 13-15 in Durango, CO. The event will mark Yeti’s 25th Anniversary and will be a celebration that includes Yeti luminaries from the past and present. The Tribe Gathering has become an annual pilgrimage for the Yeti faithful and includes epic rides, great food, cold beer, and planned stupidity that in the past has included bike barrel racing, kid bike 4X (with adults on the bikes), bike limbo and tons of other stupid human tricks.

This year’s event will be capped at 250 people, so it’s critical that you sign up as quickly as possible to make sure you get on the list. Only those registered will be allowed to attend.

When: Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. to Sunday, August 15
Where: check in with us at Second Avenue Sports to pick up your schwag and directions to the gathering site

A few questions that get asked every year:

Q. Can I bring my family?
A. Absolutely. Almost everyone at Yeti brings their family to the Tribe Gathering. We always make sure the events are good fun and relatively safe viewing for the young folk. The Durango location is great for those who don’t ride as well – a ton of things for families to do in town.

Q. Can I come if I don’t own a Yeti?
A. The short answer is no. We love all mountain bikers, but because Yeti heavily underwrites the cost of this event, we ask that you be a Yeti owner to attend.

Q. Are there rides for all abilities?
A. Yes, we have learned that not everyone treasures a 30-mile off-road epic like we do. We will have rides for all ability levels. And, of course, there will be at least one epic for the true freaks.
